College Football needs criteria for rankings and the playoff selection,

there is way too much opinion in both.

Things like a head to head win gets X points, you get X points for beating ranked teams (as of the latest poll), you get X points for overall strength of schedule, undefeated gets X point, 1 loss gets X points etc.

The Military has ranking systems for Pilots for example. It’s based mainly on objective data if not all on objective data.

Yes 10 days ago Michigan State beating Michigan, but yesterday CFP ranking having it reversed is Blue Blood Brand Bias. When the Committee Chairman was asked why the committee voted it that way, “oh we just thought they were better.” What? Now your opinion is more important than the outcome of the game on the field?!?!?!
